How to use oven bags

1. Pre-heat oven to the required temperature
2. Season food and place in the bag
3. Close with special tie leaving plenty of air inside to assist browning
4. Snip off top corner of the bag to allow steam to escape
5. Place in a deep roasting dish and cook in the centre of the oven
6. Bags should not touch the oven walls, racks or heating element
7. When cooked, cut bag open and remove food. Use juices to make delicious sauce or gravies

Microwave ovens

Note: cooking whole poultry and large joints is best advised in a conventional oven

1. Season food and place in the bag
2. Close with special tie leaving plenty of air inside to assist browning
3. Snip off top corner of the bag to allow steam to escape
4. Place in a microwave safe dish and cook at the appropriate power level for the required time.
5. When cooked, cut bag open and remove food. Use juices to make delicious sauce or gravies
